Insaan means human. Cadet means one still becoming.
Not a person who has arrived. A person still folding.
InsaanCadet makes wearable art for that person. Every design starts by hand, an origami crane, a wave lifted from a woodblock print, a mountain drawn in ink, and is printed edge to edge across canvas so the artwork wraps the whole object instead of sitting on it like a logo.
Three things live in every pair
A hidden signature. Somewhere on each pair, the word insaan is folded into the artwork as a crane. Most people never find it. It is not meant to be found quickly.
A logo made of the art. Each design carries its own logotype, with the artwork itself filling the letters. No two are the same.
A box worth keeping. The artwork continues onto the box. Most brands ship art in a plain carton. We do not.
Made when you order it
Nothing is warehoused and nothing is wasted. Each piece is produced after you order it, which takes a few days longer and means we never destroy unsold stock.
Human. Astronaut. One Species.
The astronaut recurs across the work for a reason. From far enough away there are no borders on this planet, just one species, still becoming. That is the whole idea, and everything we make is a small argument for it.
